SAG post on its way...

For some frustrating reason, Blogspot hasn't been letting me upload images today, and surely you understand, I can't very well post a 'best of'/'worst of' red carpet piece without lots and lots of high-res, blow-up-able photos.

As if!

So please, hang tight, and hopefully, the worker bees behind Blogspot will remedy the situation soon...

best,
Johanna

Technical difficulties

You know how sometimes when you write an e-mail and press "send" and get an error message that makes you realize all that you'd just composed was gone?

Well, Blogspot has been putting me through the blog post equivalent of that all evening.

So, I apologize, but you'll have to wait until tomorrow afternoon or early evening for my analytic paralleling of female 'Jeopardy' contestants and their couldn't-care-less appearances with DC women and their couldn't-care-less appearances.

It's a real "think" piece with big-picture implications, so stay tuned...

A time consuming transition...

Dear ASJiNE readers,

After years and years of wanting to trade my oh-so-last-season PC for a fresh, sleek Mac, I finally took the plunge and entered too-cool-for-school territory with this (pointing at the screen in front of me), my brand-new, slim as a size-2 MacBook Pro.

Though feminine in shape, I think I'll call him Voltaire, the name to which I was going to assign Montesquieu's future brother - "Volly" for short, natch - until Son Number One made it crystal clear with a double paw-stomp and "accidental" carpet tinkle it was not in my best interest to again raise the issue of expanding our nuclear family.

Point taken, little one.

Just like Mommy wouldn't complain if God gave her 4F at Bergdorf's instead of children or the new, has-its-own-zip-code shoe salon at Saks instead of a loving husband, I'm perfectly content to get a Mac in place of an additional pup.

But unlike a fabu new Akris dress* or pair of Atwood platform pumps, acquiring and integrating this new bit of technology into my everyday life is no easy task.

So, over the next couple of days, while my much more computer-knowledgeable colleagues help me through what will likely be a very time consuming transferring this and learning how to do that transition, please be patient.

as you were,
Johanna

Technical difficulties

Blogspot is taking forever to load pictures this morning, so please be patient and give me until this afternoon to make your Friday a bit more may-jah.

In the meantime, let's breathe a collective sigh of relief that Katie's lips and hair weren't permanently Rinna-fied.

Here, last night at the Hollywood stop on the Lion for Lambs premiere circuit, from hair (sleek) to one-shouldered, Grecian-style Monique Lhuillier column gown (gorgeous) to Roger Vivier bejeweled flats (meh), Tom's better half looks nothing short of her usual stunning, sophisticated self.

Thank God.

Don't have the patience for this right now...

I've had a piece polished and prepped to post since this morning, but for some lollygaggin' reason, Blogspot won't allow me to upload it.

As I often do on the rare occasion when my little junebug hurls his little self into a conniption fit, I've made the decision to let the system cool down, collect itself and try to reason with it again in a few hours.

Apologies!

Technical difficulties

Because Blogspot wouldn't let me upload any pictures last night (or this morning), I'm going to hold off on posting this morning's piece on the professional woman's back-to-school backpack (read: backpack = handbag) until the geniuses that are Blog and Spot can get their sh*t together.

Maybe by lunch, maybe not.

Until then, enjoy the trailers of two of my favorite lesser well-known films - Chopper and Sexy Beast - both of which I saw solo back in the day at the Avon's discounted midnight showing, both of which boast heavyset, unscrupulous men whose allures I've not been able to shake in seven years and both of which are such good cinematic rides they rightly deserve to bump 300 to take top billing in your NetFlix queue.

Enjoy. And check back at lunch!

Technical difficulties

I'm here! I'm here! I'm just having a wee bit of frustration with Blogspot at the moment.

Sit tight, look at Kim's unbelievable up-front assets (click to enlarge) and check back after work for my next post.

Whoops.

It's been brought to my attention there are more than a few technical kinks that still need to be worked out with the new URL, so until someone more capable than I am diagnoses and fixes them, I strongly encourage you to continue to use the dot-blogspot address.

To make this disappointing news go down a little more easily, here's a very intense Maggie Q brandishing a semi-automatic machine gun:

But be forewarned, the individual posts' direct links don't work quite yet.

Technical difficulties (updated)

Yes, thank you, I am aware I have two "Since I don't (yet)" features on my sidebar.

Until Blogspot decides to shape up (we've been fighting since early yesterday evening), just ignore the dated picture and instead enjoy this snap of Kim Kardashian last night outside Koi in Los Angeles.

Methinks there was never a more convincing advert for the high-waisted pencil skirt -- or 10 sets of 15 lunges after your Sunday morning spin class.

Update: no acerbically witty caption to wrap your head around -- you just need your mouth (gaping), your eyes (bulging) and your hand (censored)

No, Blogspot still won't let me get rid of the Club Monaco skirt. Yes, this was just an excuse to show another photo of Kim's ridiculously large, in-charge and gravity-defying backside.

Technical difficulties

For some reason, I can't seem to load the pictures for today's "If I had a Sugar Daddy..." and "Since I don't (yet)" posts.

Or all those video clips my hot friends and I made in my studio apartment at our bi-weekly "cupcakes-n-porn" slumber party...

You'll just have to wait 'til tomorrow, by which time you probably won't care which clutches I featured and I'll have thought better about sharing such frostingly intimate moments with so many strangers.

It's just one of those nights where no one wins.

Technical difficulties

For reasons beyond my comprehension, I have not been able to change the image or the text in my "Sugar Daddy" feature for a good 90 minutes.

To satisfy both my need to go to sleep and my OCD, I've decided to just go ahead and provide the item for you here in post form:
