Having rocked the Asian-style bob from birth until I was old enough to say, "Yeeeah, I think I'm gonna try something different this time" to my stylist, I'm more than happy to pass the torch onto...
...the lovely Katie so she can now enjoy the more grown-up version thereof.
Go ahead, people, say she looks 45, say she looks suburban, silly or severe -- none of your barbs will change the fact that I think she looks absolutely divine. Deliciously so.
Not that I'm biased or anything.

p.s. bring on the "heavy leg" jokes -- I'm armed and ready with two pockets full of retorts!

You're a better looking adult than you were a kid. That's good, right?
So cute! What is on the front of your shortalls? Elmo?
Katie looks pretty. Very Louise Brooks, I think I mean.
louise brooks -- EXACTLY. excellent call, K.
You are so precious, J.
LOVE IT! Love it, love it, love it.
katie's hair is a wig, no? i had the same haircut as you did at that toddler age. must have been a late 70's thing.
not that she'd correct you here (only in her head), but I think you mean *early 80s* for J, not late 70s.
I've been daydreaming about those Padovan shoes all day, thanks to you!
So are shortalls okay to wear now that they've been featured on ASJiNE?
I couldn't believe that was you at first - so much color! At what point did you go all-black?
Katie looks beautiful. Whoever has been doing her makeup lately is an artist.
I think I like this cut on kids better than adults, but if one were ever to pull it off well, it'd be Katie. She looks great!
Is this the first kid pictures we've seen of you? So cute!
I love her hair and her makeup here. I don't think she looks older, in fact, I think she looks ageless. If my hair wasn't already short I'd run out to my hairdresser with this picture right now!
definitely a wig.
Okay. No. As one of the of minority guys who likes short hair on women and who liked Katie's bob when she cut it, I can't endorse this cut. It's just too boxy and really hides her face. She needs to go back to the side bangs or take Johanna's picture to her stylist and go shorter.
She looks very striking, very beautiful and unexpected. This look wouldn't work in every situation, but this picture is perfect.
Like the kid picture, don't like the Katie picture. I can't put my finger on it, but everything from the excessive blush to the painted on smile screams fake. It's not too late to leave him, Katie!
Katie does look polished and sophisticated, but, with that particular cut, no one rocks it better than Anna Wintour.
You're SO beautiful in person! I would've said hello but you were deep in conversation with a bunch of people. The event was fun. Croweded but fun.
You are so precious!
Not sure about Katie's new 'do. I think I'll have to revisit tomorrow and decide then.
Like anon 9:44, I wanted to say hello at the event...but I didn't see you. I hope you had a great time, as my friends and I did. It was very crowded, but very fun. Cheers!
I bet even at that age you were judging bitches on the playground.
Man, your legs look HEAVY in that top photo. Maybe you should think about removing the shortalls from your rotation. No? Well, it was just a thought.
Katie ain't got nothin' on you, haircut or anything else.
do you know who designed Katie's dress and capelet? They're beautiful!
Not crazy about her hair, though.
