If you're like I am and much more into the dress than the shoe, then please to get excited about the post I'm putting together on the kind of timeless evening sandals that are versatile enough to be paired with every cocktail dress in your closet and lovely enough that you won't get tired of slipping them on every Saturday evening.
Essentially, the exact opposite of Alexander McQueen's 'Naked Lady' sandal pictured above.
But it is fun to look at, no?
Check back later today for my full array of party shoes...

Oooh. That is art right there.
I saw these in the window of Hu's Shoes in Georgetown. They're beautiful - like a work of art. But like you, I'm more into clothes than shoes :-)
they are nice to look at, but it ends there for me. I feel like these should be worn with a Versace maxi dress in South Beach. not my thing.
Yum.
I can't wait for the post, I'm in dire need of a new pair of dressy black sandals!
Yay! I've been waiting for the follow up to the party dress post!
There will be a range of price options I hope...
Something that bears in mind snowy Georgetown sidewalks, please! :)
Laura-
Sorry, but the party shoes I've selected demand taxi service, not walking.
I'm not even sure what an evening shoe that takes into consideration snowy sidewalks would look like! Do they exist?
J
no, those shoes def do not exist. All party shoes require cabs. And then you just have to be brave and steady from the curb to the door of your party. Hopefully you are bringing a man friend to the party so he can serve as an anchor on any icy patches.
When's the post coming? I'm dying here!
Duh - this is what they look like! And a great price...
Even though they scream "Flying Monkeys of Oz" to me.
Oops! I'll link again:

I suppose I was thinking no satin, something peeptoe-ish (a little more coverage than a sandal), but you're probably right. I wish there was a pill I could swallow that would prevent my toes from turning blue at the slightest chill. I always look like Smurfette in party shoes. (Bonus points for anyone who can name the other female Smurf, the little adolescent.)
Cheers!
laura, Sassette the red head?
Bingo, anm! :)
