A new bit of real estate

For those of you who actually want more of me, starting today, you can find me on DC Style Magazine's style blog musing once a week on everything from which professional fashion trends have outworn their welcome to on-the-street style interviews (think "Wow, that's a great jacket - where did you get it?" with photographic evidence) to the process of transforming a celebrity/high-fashion look into something more office-appropriate.

You can find my first piece, 'Boardroom-ification with Victoria Beckham,' here.

*Please to note that due to issues of space and the need to appeal to a wider, more accepting-of-others audience, I agreed to tinker with the not-so-economical writing style and judgmental tone you've come to know here at ASJiNE.

And for no real reason other than to prove to you how I quite literally, single-handedly wrote this morning's post last night, here's a sweet snap of the babyshakes and me holding paw/hand after a heartrending four-day separation.

you continue to amaze and inspire me with how much you're able to cram into a day. I'm just gonna live vicariously through you, m'kay? Especially when you and the pup move to NYC and tackle the big fashion beast. Actually, at that point, I may do more than just live vicariously...I may actually move *in*.

kiss to you and a huge congrats on the new gig.

The writing style is definitely different, but I can still see a bit of you in there. Keep it up, selling out will get easier I hear :)

Has Monte forgiven you for leaving him so long? He looks a little down in the picture.

Brooke-

We're adjusting, and yes, he was a little down yesterday, but that was only because he saw the commercial for tonight's episode of "Newport Harbor" and realized it was already season finale time.

How quickly he and Chrissy became like this (crossing index/middle fingers).

To the rest-

Thank you for your congrats! It's only a start and a small one at that, but I'm really excited about it.

best,
J

Congratulations Jo! Celebratory brunch this Sunday!

ANM-

Indeed. I might even eat a few forkfuls of breakfast potatoes in celebration thereof! Woot, woot for occasional carb indulgences!

what nail color are you wearing in this pic of you holding your puppy's paw??

I assume she's wearing Russian Navy from OPI since she blogged all about it in yesterday's post!

Hannie-bonnie, what fantastic news this is! Congratulations!

Congratulations, Johanna! I'm looking forward to your weekly reports.

Wow, like impressive, you're now blogging for a "publication" that even fewer people read than your own blog. Yaaay for you.

Congratulations! That is so exciting.

Congrats! I enjoyed the first article... can't wait for more :-)

Everyone thinks I'm weird for holding paws with my cat... glad to see I'm not the only one. haha!

You know what this means, right? You'll be in En-Why-Cee in no time! Shall I start looking for dog-friendly two-bedroom places in SoHo or knowing your taste, are you thinking Upper East Side?

A girl can dream...

Congratulations! I am eagerly awaiting the day we see your byline in Marie Claire...

'not impressed,' you continue to entertain me with your clear-as-day jealousy of our editrix. seriously, can't you just inner dialogue 99% of the negative thoughts you have toward her and save the other 1% for your therapist?

han, you and your babyshakes (love that!) will go great places. I can feel it! keep up the great work!

What's the deal with the comments over on DC Style's site? I left one hours and hours ago, and it still shows up with "no comments".

Blasted!
