Do lobbyists do it better?

Well, I guess I'll find out tonight as I'm sipping my Stella Artois, bare-shoulder-to-shoulder with from what I've heard, a very Savile-row-inspired, very American-Psycho-business-card-scene crowd at the Bobby Van's adjacent to the White House.

Full report to come tomorrow.

In the meantime, enjoy the afore-alluded to male version of the "f**k, her dress is cuter than mine -- I hate her," inner-dialogue with which I'm not personally familiar but I've read about in magazines and overheard other women discuss:

Today on the subway I saw someone who was dressed well for being in her early 40s or so I thought until I saw her feet. She had peep toe, grey glitter low wedges on at 5:00 pm. To top it off she was wearing those ped socks. I don't think the lobbyists can beat that.

You have such "sex-me" eyes in that photo. Let me guess, taken at work?

Give me lessons, Han, give me LESSONS.

Thanks for your photo comments -- it's a bit risky, 'cause yeah, I definitely got the f**k-me-eyes, but then again, I've had that expression on my face since I was in 7th grade.

No getting around it.

Sarah-

Where in the world is there a subway in Tennessee? Shoes make all the difference - I'm glad you didn't give her a thumbs-up prematurely.

Are you near Brushy Mountain Prison, by the way? I'm watching an MSNBC documentary on it RIGHT NOW. I've seen it a million times before, but this shit never gets old.

I read your blog everyday (friend of a friend told me about it), and until this evening when I saw this new picture, I never thought I would leave a comment. Not because I didn't want to, but because I don't know you (and because all your witty friends set such a high standard!).

But I just have to say, you're downright stunning. And funny as hell. Quite a combination. Lucky Monte :)

I'm actually nowhere close to Tennessee. I'm in NYC... Courtney, currently in BA, referred me to your blog. I used to work with her.
