On day two of her Parisian get-over-him tour, Dita von Teese, in these pictures, is the epitome of what I wish I could look like - and dress like - every single day of the week.
Her makeup is simple but effective: eyebrow arch (check), double coat of mascara (check), crescendo-ing black eyeliner on top lid only (check), deep crimson lipstick applied so perfectly it doesn't look real (check).
Sitting daintily waiting for the Christian Lacroix show to begin in a knee-length cap-sleeved black dress with a textured double-edged square cut neckline and red satin bow-adorned pumps - both of which are from his label - Dita knows full well today she'll be that woman both men and women look at a little too long.
Let this ensemble serve as an example to those who doubt the power of accessory-free dressing. No earrings, no necklace, no bracelet, no ring -- the message she sends is one of "look at the unique neckline of my dress, look at how it flatters my perfect skin and decolletage."
And she's right, no Kwiat diamond could achieve that.
All Ms. Teese will need to take her look into evening is lower-lid eyeliner, another round of perfume (I imagine her wearing something devastating like Eau Torride by Givenchy) in the four major areas*, a red or black patent leather clutch, and red peeptoes in higher, spikier heels.
Of course, she should also shut off her Blackberry so she doesn't have to keep putting to voicemail all of those I-want-you-back calls from the former Mr. Teese.
*four major areas: inner-wrist, inner-elbow, back of the neck, and behind the knees
