Same girl, new job.

(blowing off the dust)

Please come visit me at my glossy new homebase in the blogosphere. Or, on my Twitter account, which I've recently started updating with annoying frequency.

What I've lost in the right to self-edit, I've gained in access to...well, you'll have to click on over to find out, now won't you?

Happy Romance Day,
Johanna

Oh, I'm so happy to see this! I devoured your archives last year (linked over from Fashion is Spinach). I'd come over to reread key posts for inspiration while the archives were still available. Congratulations and hooray!

I love that you won, rather EARNED, your spot at ELLE.

I saw a dress on this website: http://www.rebeccaanddrew.com/index.asp and it screams you.

But then I thought maybe this business would be a cool item for a page in ELLE! Custom shirts? Environmental concerns? Beautiful fabrics?

Love your blog (:

Yay! Reading your posts helps fill the void that you left in DC.

Johanna,

I am so glad that you won the show! I saw the first episode of Stylista on the plane and I was like, "if she doesn't win, I am going to be upset". So...since there was no Stylista in France, I just finished the rest on YouTube. Honestly, I have never been so inspired by anyone on a reality TV show before. I find that I am quite similar to you (and not like Kate being similar to Anne thing...oh my, by the way, poor girl, she is so confused about what the world is...good intentions, bad execution.) in the way that I am struggling to decide what I want to do with my life. I'm one year away from going to law school, studying international relations with focus on Asian studies, but I find myself just being much more excited about who showed what on the runway at Bryant Park than who fought who in the Cold War and how it impacts us. But honestly, it's not like I don't like studying what I'm studying. It's just, I'm not ready to make an educational sacrifice like that because I don't even think that I am good enough to do what you do. Before the show, how did you make the transition? And do you have any advice for me? (Uh, not that you're a shrink or anything...)

Anyway, good luck and props to ya,

-Annie (from Canada)

The new hairstyles for men that you will you see during the upcoming holiday and party season and beyond into the new year are a lot of longer hair hairstyles with wild texturized hair on top. This will be combined with short sides including high fades, low fades, bald fades, with or without hard part disconnection, or simply cut with sheers for a more natural short hair look.
