This tease of Spring has me jonesin' for beachwear

For those of us whose lifestyles don't necessitate a separate section in our closet for the the kind of clothing one finds when they click on the now ubiquitous "resort wear" category, I admit, the first week in January is a wee bit early to already be thinking about in which bikinis, cover-ups and lightweight linen separates we'd like to be frolicking come that first weekend at the Shore in late Spring.

Given the 70+ degree temperatures we're all enjoying in the District today, however, I felt reasonably justified to show you at least a few pieces that have given me warm-weather fever over the past couple of weeks.

And really, you never know if and when you'll receive a text message from an old fling inviting you for a long weekend in Turks and Caicos the second week in February...

Enjoy!

no joke, I'm currently staring out my window and imagining palm trees.

only a few more months to go. minus the palm trees.

I find those almost backless one-pieces so damn sexy. Good-bye carbs!

I adore both of these suits.

Re: American Apparel suit model - I know models are supposed to look like hangers, but I'll never understand why clothing companies choose flat-chested women to model swimsuits! I like some curves, a la Kim Kardashian.

honestly, Jo, you are the worst taker offer of time I've ever seen in a blogger. don't get me wrong, I'm pretty happy with how passionate you are (this post convinced me not to get the bag of Raisinets with my lunch), but you have to understand why we get extra antsy when you do stick to your word and leave us for a day or two!

you can't really like those shorts, can you?

noelle -- i'm guessing they use flat-chested models because i doubt that AA top has any support. if you put more than a B cup in it I think the top would just look sloppy.

my friends always make fun of me for mixing and matching bathing suit tops and bottoms. is it ASJIN sanctioned?

That American Apparel bikini is one of my favorites, and they sell it in every color, year round.

why don't you have this much color in your other clothing recs?

It's a sick twist of irony that it's freezing cold and raining in LA whilst the District is 70 and cheery. Ugh.

It's currently 49 degrees and falling here in LA. I wish I lived some place warm like DC.

I think I like the one-piece model's body the best. I'll take hers, please. and the suit!
