Such a good deal, even *I* bought flats

Our friends over at the aptly named SmartBargains.com have really done it this time.

Not only were they able to convince me to part with $99 of my saved-up stash the day I leave for the most expensive city in the country, but even more shocking is that their newest promotion would have me spend that sum on not one, not two but three pairs of heel-less footwear.

"Flats" I hear the kids are calling them these days.

Normally, I'd delete an e-mail with the words "sale," "3 for $99" and "great selection" in the subject heading (stupid but true), but considering that earlier in the holiday season I was able to find my favorite flats on their site for almost two-thirds less than they cost on my beloved Zappos.com, I began to look at discount sites -SmartBargains in particular- in a much more maybe-I'm-missing-something-here light.

So, if you're like I am and need a blowout sale to motivate you to buy a pair of flats, head over to SmartBargains and pick out your three favorites among the many cute pairs of Sam Edelmans they have in stock.

And if you follow this link, you'll also receive free shipping.

Be safe and have a great weekend!

best,
J

thanks for this!! I have loved those t strap flats since I saw them back in your first ever Since I don't (yet) over a year ago. Now that they're $33, how can I pass them up?

have a very happy new year!

got your t-straps, a pair of patent leather pumps (with a bow!) and the plaid Edelman flats too! What a fantastic bargain! I don't even view this as an unnecessary splurge. This is *smart* shopping.

thanks!

great!

and for those who don't need any new pairs of shoes, use this sale as an opportunity to pick up three gifts for girlfriends' birthdays. That's where one of my pairs will be going...

best,
J

great tip. and imho, zappos sucks. they rarely have the best price. i saw a cute pair of poetic license flats on there recently for $90. the same shoes were $50 on shoes.com and only $28 on amazon.com. good thing i looked around before buying.

If only I had the *big* foot of a size 6 r greater. I guess me and my tiny size 5-5.5s will have to miss out this year. BOO-HOO

Thank you for this - so, so much! Got myself a pair of the gold Edelman flats, some black, patent Enzo wedges, and a brown, suede, wedge Mary Jane that will be perfect with my boring corporate uniform.

While the male opinion may be of no import, I find flats to be most unflattering in almost all cases, even with the taller ladies. One thing that heels do is force a lady to walk, well, ladylike, which is reasonably flattering to the figure; it forces the stomach in, butt out, shoulders up and back. In flats, an otherwise elegant and lengthening walk is oftentimes debased into a churlish and dumpy one. While I understand the compromise for comfort, I think many ladies underestimate how much it actually compromises.

same question for BCBGirls and martinez valero...

Thank you for the link, but I am banned from all and any clothes (including accessories) for the foreseeable...

Token male: Frankly, sometimes ladies just need to walk around, not to impress men. Funny that.

(Also buying shoes - $33 and free shipping! That's the kind of no-sugar-daddy prices I can live with!)

i also fell in love with these flats after seeing them on this site!!!! :)

i happily got a pair a few months ago at DSW for around $40.

today i went back and found a pair (half a size to small tho!) on their sale rack for a whopping $14. it's the last pair that i saw so if anyone lives in the pentagon city area, you may want to snatch it up!!!! (its in the size 6 1/2 section).

:)
