Now go order some Cinnastix and pig the 'eff out!

Go Katie, GO!

Finishing in 5:29:58 is a respectable start to your marathoning, but let's aim to break 4:40 in your next go. Together. In Oklahoma City. Without Tom. And without dance pants.

And with a proper sports bra. For serious, how did you run that long with such little ladybit support?

Running and Katie. If you could wear heals it would be your dream come true.

I think she's really training to run away from the Cruise compound.

just from reading your blog, I have gone from hating her (because of Tom) to being in love. her hair, her running, her clothes...a new fave celebrity.

I think my favorite part about the whole ordeal is that Tom met her at the finish line wearing a tie and sport coat.

That's my DREAM...yum.

I was a 10k runner who had never been filled out a 32A in season and I still can't imagine running in that tank!

OUCH.

You've bested her in almost every category, now you just have to find a crazy husband with tons of money. Being a hot young thing in DC, I don't think this should be too difficult for you. Try Capitol Hill.

this was not as much of a phenomenon as p. diddy's marathon debut years ago (oh my god that was the most hilarious footage ever) but definitely post-worthy.

I would love to get into running, but have hated it every time I tried it since childhood. Is there a cure?

You may have beaten her in time, but she beat you to the heel wearing! While you took an entire day (close to that) to strap yours back on, she did so in only a few hours! I bet you love her even more know, right?

I refuse to concede defeat, because the "heels" Katie wore last night (http://dlisted.com/node/17749) were what, one inch slides? Please. That don't even *count* in my book.

Four-inch stilettos 18 hours after the fact beats that sh*t any day of the week.

But yes, you are right to assume my adoration for Katie is at an all-time high right now.

Shar- I have a lot of friends who refuse to come running with me because they have tried it before and hated it. The best place to start is getting a GREAT pair of running shoes. Then strap them on and get outside. Don't set any expectations. If you get to the end of the block, great. If you have to stop and walk, who cares? At least you're out there. And I wouldn't suggest starting on a treadmill. If you're anything like me, you will look at how fast the person next to you is going and try to beat them :) While some competition is a good thing, you need to find your own pace first. Hope that helps!

Little Tom was actually wearing a turtle-neck and sportcoat. So revise your dream accordingly.

Damn you, Elle, and your superior online celebrity researching! Yes, yes, I'll revise, though I'm not big on the t-neck/sportcoat combo. A little too Robert Goulet (rest in peace) for my taste.

and what's up with a cotton hat? she needs to get some dri max up in that bad boy. at first i thought those were spandex, but damn! what the hell are those? dancing capris?

at the end of the day, kudos to her, even if her time suggest she might have been crawling/hopping on one leg half the time. i still give her props.

i wonder what running shoes she was wearing. probably nikes, but i would be impressed if she busted out with some old school etonics.
