This is much along the same lines as another important saying: Just because you can get it on doesn't mean it fits.

K-

Thank God it's actually *not* "my Lanvin" (Lhuillier, apparently) or else bitch would've been listed numero uno instead of big-hips-Hewitt.

Muwah for the "kooturr".

I think these women look fine. And I also think that liking something IS reason enough to wear it. Let people live their lives the way they want to, Miss Fashion Police.

Anonymous 11:01, clearly these women do not look fine. All of them can look better-than-fine, but they don't here. There is nothing wrong with telling someone that something doesn't suit them. In fact, I tend to think of it as a sisterly duty to let people know. I sure as hell wouldn't want to be walking out in something that made me look less then my best.

On a separate note, what is up with Natalie Portman's legs in that pic? It looks like she cut them shaving, several times...

I think JennLove looks pretty fabulous, other than the fact that I freaking hate purple on anyone over ten. (But I realize that's my own insane prejudice.) Nice rack, tiny waist, sexy, proportionate hips... not seeing the problem. Oh, and I don't care much for the straps, which look a little like a gym top. A little thicker strap and a bit more angular neckline would have suited her better, but it's a nitpick. Having hips is not a sin.

Everyone else, I agree, is doing themselves no favors. I am also tempted to forgive Sara Ramirez as her hair and skin look radiant. I'm built like her and I would NOT be wearing a translucent lace baby doll dress with a high high empire waist and PLEATING under it. agh. PLEATING!

teek, you can't be serious! JennLove looks AWFUL in that dress and the color has nothing to do with it. there's nothing wrong with hips (I have 'em), but there is everything wrong with drawing an outline around them like this without having the height and hemline to pull it off.

mJust liking something is does NOT give you the authority to wear it without being judged (especially if you are a celebrity). Although poor taste may explain some of the monstrosities I see hoofing down the streets around here (can people actually like the high-waisted, pleated, tapered mom-jeans?)

Sure, we all love the mini dress look, but that doesn’t mean we all can pull off the look without looking either inappropriate or just not our best.

Yeah, I really don't think she looks that bad. Like an old 50s siren. *Curvaceous* in a non-euphemistic way. She probably has a near perfect 10 hourglass figure.

The mom jeans, though.. yikes. There's hippy like Marilyn Monroe and then there's hippy like a Curves for Women gym advertisement.

I think it's the way the fabric sticks to that one part of Jennifer's body and nowhere else that makes her look so bad. also, and I know this isn't her fault, but she's slightly too cutesy-pie, girl next door for the siren role.

Egads Natalie and Sara are frightening! The rest are bad but not *that* bad. Okay, Kristen Bell is pretty bad too.
