The *perfect* blouse FINALLY FOUND!

I thought the day might never come...

But here it is and in my favorite-for-Fall color, no less:

Silk pleated cap-sleeve top ($68 at bananarepublic.com)

And in case you need a memory jog, the blouse that started the quest:

Your memory for this kind of thing is unparalleled. I'm duly impressed. It's an exquisite blouse - very *you*.

I just ordered it. I suppose I could walk down to Georgetown or Metrocenter or any of 100 other locations and buy it there, but you know...what's done is done. This is such a classic piece. Thanks for looking out for those who can't afford the real thing!

yes I feel like this is a perfect example of what us big-boobers can not pull off.

I'm with you, girls... looks great on them but it would make me look horrible. Really like the color of the shirt Biel has on though!

I suppose I should qualify the "perfect" in this post's title. When I say "perfect," I don't mean in the sense that it's for everyone, style-wise or figure-flattering wise, what I mean is that to me, this is that goes-with-everything, ladylike, modern, rich-looking blouse that can take a simple pencil skirt and black peeptoes up a few notches. I'm absolutely besotted by it. I just wish it came in more colors :-(

I just got it as well. And since I'm up in NYC, don't worry, we won't look like twins. I can't wait until I fit into my goal skirt (that black pencil one you helped me pick out at Zara last month), 'cuz it's gonna be hot up in my office once I do!

I went to the site and clicked through to checkout, and then I came to the same conclusion as the other girls - it just wont work for me. LOVE the color though, in fact just bought a great pair of suede flats in that color during the Nordstrom sale. I am going to scan Banana for other shirts in the same material/color.

On a totally separate note, after reading your column for so long I decided to try black toe nail polish. I don't know if I just need to get used to it - I can't remember the last time I looked down and didn't see a thin white stripe going across the top of my nail - but I just don't think it's me. Oh well. Perfect for Johanna, not perfect for me.

I went to look for that shirt during lunch today, but it's not out yet. I'm obsessed now too.

I also went at my lunch break to BR to look for this blouse! I'm worried it'll sell out before it hits the stores. Damn, there goes another $68 + shipping.

Dude! I have the exact top that Jessica Biel has on -- it came from Club Monaco last winter and cost a mere $98!
